I use this anecdote in my training sessions. One thing is very evident,we are trained erroneously ; the elephant trainer make use of chains to knot the elephant when it is a calf, having imprinted in its mind for years it is only chain, the trainers in due course takes off the chain and tie a small rope to the leg. The elephant will never dare to even attempt to forcefully move from the clutches even if it easily possible. This is applicable to us human also.
Who is to be blamed? Our own family, teachers, society can pessimistically sway life. Often it is done inadvertently. They are not at fault because they are just carrying forward their beliefs that were fed to their unguarded minds over the years. Nevertheless most of your current beliefs have been adopted from our family. Beliefs such as religion, politics, activities, as well as many other views on life, were taught to us by our family. It is advised to periodically question our beliefs. Ask yourself if the perception you have on any given area of your life is valid. Is it helping or hindering us in our pursuit to become successful? Sandra Leon in her books detailed various habits to be happy and win.
The mind is like a sponge; it soaks up everything. Therefore, it is crucial to be aware of the thoughts, images, and ideas that are being fed to your mind through our sensory perception. Without being aware mind is being influenced daily by many cause, and regrettably not in a good way.Your mind is responsible for your thoughts, which in turn are in charge of your emotions. And your emotions are what determine your actions. Ultimately action is what produces the change we wish to see in our lives and in the world. If you are facing any turmoil or upheaval it is time for you to introspect.
If the thoughts running through your mind on a daily basis are constantly negative, then most certainly you will feel defeated and incapable of accomplishing great things in your life. Your aim should be to entertain mostly positive thoughts that encourage and motivate you to take action towards success and happiness.
Converting positive thoughts and emotions into steadfast beliefs is the vehicle to take you from where you are to where you want to be. All successful people will vouch to that. More and more scientific studies are revealing that what we believe in our minds will become true. That is the message that Confucius, a famous Chinese philosopher exult, “he who believes he can and he who believes he can’t are both usually right.” So that is the first step to becoming successful, start believing you can. Start believing it is possible for you, and then it will be!
Believe in yourselves and be positive, you can conquer any accomplishment.
